Job Description

Destin Flight Works is seeking a qualified and experienced Chief Flight Instructor to oversee all flight training operations conducted under FAA Part 141 and Part 61 training programs. The Chief Flight Instructor is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of safety, regulatory compliance, instructional quality, and student performance while ensuring all training activities are conducted in accordance with FAA regulations, approved Training Course Outlines (TCOs), and company policies. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee all flight training operations conducted under FAA Part 141 and Part 61 programs Ensure compliance with all applicable FAA regulations, including Parts 61, 91, and 141 Maintain and administer FAA-approved Training Course Outlines (TCOs) Supervise and mentor flight instructors and assistant chief instructors Conduct standardization training and instructor proficiency evaluations Monitor student progress, stage checks, graduation rates, and training quality Coordinate with Company representatives during audits, inspections, and certification activities Ensure proper maintenance of student training records and instructor documentation Conduct stage checks, end-of-course evaluations, and instructor checkouts as required Develop and implement safety procedures and operational best practices Assist with curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives Schedule and manage instructor staffing and training resources Promote a professional, safety-focused training environment Minimum Required Experience (Insurance and 141 Requirements)

CFI Flight Time:
1,500 hours CFI experience: 3 x years
