Fidelity Technology Services, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fidelity Technologies Corporation, is seeking a Part Time F/A-18 pilot for a Contractor Instructor (CI) role supporting pilot training in the
F/A-18C/D
simulators for its Program at MCAS Beaufort, SC.Qualifications necessary for the role:
Naval Air Training and Operating Procedures Standardization (NATOPS) pilot of the F/A-18 aircraft within the preceding two (2) years or have been a simulator instructor within the preceding five (5) years for theF/A-18. A CI
must have a minimum of one (1) fleet tour and eight hundred (800) flying hours in the F/A-18 aircraft.Certifications necessary for the role:
Successfully complete theF/A-18C/D NATOPS
open book, closed book and boldface exams and annually renew qualifications with the FRS. CIs shall demonstrate understanding of F/A-18: missions; crew procedures; tactics; Fleet Replacement Aircrew (FRAC) syllabi; FRS curriculum change procedures; aircraft weapons employment; and current threats.Roles and Responsibilities:
Conduct scheduled CI led/supported training for Simulator, Training Device and Systems Training (including briefs and debriefs) using traditional and modern tools such as interactive white boards, computers and video projector systems. Evaluate student training/mission performance as required. Provide classroom instruction and recommendations for improvement, to include tests and test materials, lesson plans, and trainee guides under the guidelines of current directives. Provide academic instruction to include Instructor led lecture discussion for Crew Resource Management (CRM), Instrument Ground School (IGS), etc., and self-paced Computer Aided Instruction (CAI) and Computer Based Training (CBT) in support of courses required for each platform. Assist with simulator and training device inspections and certification programs and other special projects, as required, to include mishap re-creation and testing. Conduct training device operation instruction to personnel as necessary, to include instruction on briefing, debriefing and grading/assessments. Other weapons system specific support responsibilities, as listed in appendices. Evaluate and record trainer performance IAW established criteria. Participate in off-site Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS) / Fleet Replacement Detachment (FRD) Standardization (STAN) meetings, as directed by the Training Model Manager (TMM), approximately every six (6) months. Attend one (1) local standardization meeting per quarter (average three (3) hours). Attend weekly Schedule Writing meetings (average one (1) hour). Perform as Simulator JMPS Subject Matter Expert (SME) in conjunction with Fleet SME inputs to create JMPS mission loads to support simulator capabilities. Perform as NATOPS Instrument Evaluators and Assistant NATOPS Instructors (ANI) per Basic Contract (BC-1) Scope Document, paragraph 3 Definitions, and Addendum B paragraph 4.3.1(k). Operate the Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) software program in support of Link-16 Inject to Live training events. Operate the NGTS software program during training events. Act asNGTS SME
in conjunction with Fleet SME inputs to create, review and update tactical scenarios of the NGTS software program.Collateral Duties may include:
Reports and CDRLs Management of Contractor Personnel. CI training and maintenance CI training currency/standardization. Instructional material coordination and handling (check-in/out) Instructor preparation for scheduled instruction CI meetings (i.e., Contractor scheduled meetings) Maintaining currency of CI documents/reference instructional materials (NATOPS Flight Manual (NFM) and NATOPS Pocket Checklist) Maintaining currency and implementing required reading information as specified by the COR (e.g. Command Plan of the Day and Required Read Board) Completion of grading each student training event, as required Documenting trainee attendance and training accomplishment Evaluating and recording trainer/equipment performance established criteria. Providing assistance in the validation of training device/equipment Maintenance Action Forms (MAFs). Training, testing and evaluating CIs for certification and training currency maintenance. Complete an annual Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS) administered Standardization, NATOPS Open and Closed book exams.
