Duties Help This position is loced in the Training Operions Branch of an Army Nional Guard Army Aviion Support Facility (AASF). The position is responsible for providing instruction, evaluion and examinion of red pilots, instructor pilots and aeroscout observers in flying techniques and methods of instruction, examinion and evaluion. Instruction involves basic and advanced techniques for flying aircraft using instruments. Positions in this series involve piloting or co-piloting aircraft to carry out various operional programs and functions of the Army and Air Nional Guard. The work provides ground and flight instruction and evaluion in aircraft piloting. The positions perform staff work concerned with planning, analyzing, or administering agency specific aviion programs, where the work requires primarily the applicion of pilot knowledge and skills. The Series encompasses all functions performed by red pilots to conduct or directly support flying operions and training missions. Inherently included in this Series are supervisory and staff functions such as commanding, inspection, contingency planning, and policy formulion. The career area encompasses utilizion fields th directly employ weapons and supporting weapon systems to accomplish the Army Nional Guard and Air Nional Guard operional missions. It encompasses flying operions and non-operional aviion positions concerned with the employment and support of aviion units and elements. This Series directs and coordines the employment of aviion units in support of land comb operions. It provides expertise all levels of command to develop doctrines and plans essential to the successful employment and deployment of aviion systems. Included in this Series are Operions Commanders, Pilots, Comb Systems Officers, Remotely Piloted Aircraft Pilots, Special Tactics, Comb Rescue, Space, Nuclear and Missile Operions, Maintenance Test Pilots, Cyber Operions, Operions Security, and Operions Support. This is a Title 32 Technician Vacancy th requires membership in a compible military assignment in the employing ste's Nional Guard. Selectee required to wear the military uniform. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
: An applicant must have a competent understanding of the occupion's basic principles and concepts. Applicants should have a minimum of one year on-the-job experience in the grade (or a comparable military rank) immediely below the next higher level.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
: Is experience th prepares the applicant to perform the Dual Stus technician duties and responsibilities. To qualify, an applicant's educional-degree study program, military professional and technical training schools or academies, and aviion certificions may apply as substitutions for some specialized experience factors.
OTHER QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
1. Prior to appointment, an applicant's military medical record must indice a completed and current medical physical, flight physical, medical profile, and completed/cleared drug test. 2. Possess a valid ste driver's license to opere government motor vehicles, for the ste in which they live or are principally employed, in accordance with Army and Air Force Vehicle Operions Directives; and, 3. Qualify to opere government motor vehicles and vehicular equipment for "Maintenance Purposes Only" according to Army or Air Force Vehicle Maintenance Operions Directives. Applicants must have the following : 1. Must have the approprie security clearance: a. In regard to the avior position's Series GS 2181 and the DoD criteria for the technician position's compible military skill classificion security clearance requirements.
NOTE:
Refer to the military services' specific classificion directives for the military skills' required security clearance levels; OR b. Awarded a current Single Scope Background Investigion according to Army or Air Force Personnel Security Program Management Directives. Award of entry level to the technician position's compible military skill, without a completed SSBI, is authorized provided an interim Top Secret security clearance was granted.
NOTE:

To maintain the position - The incumbent must have a current Network License according to Army or Air Force Directives, Licensing Network Users and Certifying Network Professionals.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
GS-10 through GS-13 Army Nional Guard Warrant Officer Positions Must have a high school diploma or general educion development (GED) diploma. An undergradue degree from an accredited college/university is optimum. Must have Federal Aviion Administrion certificions awarded from accredited civilian aviion programs or must have aviion certificions from accredited military aviion schools. GS-12 through GS-13 Army Nional Guard Officer Positions For Army Nional Guard Second and First Lieutenants must be actively pursuing an undergradue degree with least 90 valided credit hours in a specified program. For Captains and above, must have an undergradue degree from an accredited college/university. A Gradue Degree from an accredited civilian academic college or from an equivalent professional military educion school is optimum.
