Mission Specialist Location:
Woods Cross, UT, 84087 Job Summary The Pilot/Mission Specialist is responsible for operating turbine-powered Cessna aircraft and collecting aerial data using a variety of onboard sensor systems. The successful candidate will have experience piloting single- and multi-engine aircraft, a willingness to learn sensor operations, and a strong understanding of aviation regulations and safety procedures. Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain aircraft and sensor systems Collect data for various client projects Ensure safety and compliance with FAA and company regulations Communicate effectively with manager and team members Perform pre-flight and post-flight checks Maintain accurate records and reports Participate in training and professional development activities Qualifications Valid FAA pilot's license, valid FAA medical certificate, SEL, MEL Instrument rated, 1st or 2nd Class Medical High Performance Endorsement, Complex Airplane Endorsement 250-500 flight hours, CFI preferred Experience operating aircraft in aerial survey or mapping environments, preferred Familiarity with onboard sensor systems (LiDAR, photogrammetry, multispectral payloads), preferred Ability to maintain precise flight profiles for data quality Strong problem-solving skills Clear communication with sensor operators, ATC, and ground teams Ability to work independently and within a team Willingness to travel up to 25 days per month and work irregular schedules Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Applicants must be able to meet aircraft weight and balance requirements necessary for the safe operation of company aircraft. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and sit for extended periods This job requires the performance of essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Pay Range:
