PC-12
First Officer Department:
Pilot Employment Type:
Full Time Location:
Van Nuys Compensation:
$80,000 - $80,500 / year Description Silver Air is seeking an experienced First Officer to join our PC-12 operation. As a key member of our flight crew, you will uphold the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and service excellence on every flight. We operate at the pinnacle of private aviation, and we're looking for a pilot who takes pride in their craft — someone who is detail-oriented, passenger-focused, and committed to doing things the right way. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and want to fly for one of the most respected names in private charter, we'd love to hear from you. What you'll be doing: Review and verify the maintenance status of the aircraft prior to each flight, ensuring full airworthiness and that all required documentation is current and in order. Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections in strict accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual (AFM), identifying and reporting any discrepancies before departure. Perform comprehensive weather analysis and route planning, including evaluation of conditions at departure, destination, and alternate airports, as well as NOTAMs, TFRs, and any relevant ATC advisories. Ensure all flights are conducted in full compliance with Silver Air's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Operations Specifications, and all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs). Actively monitor and maintain the safety of all passengers, crew, and aircraft throughout every phase of flight — from pre-departure through post-flight shutdown. Serve as a professional representative of Silver Air during all client interactions, maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and discretion. Coordinate with dispatch, maintenance, and flight support teams to ensure seamless trip execution and proactive resolution of any operational challenges. Accurately and promptly complete all required trip paperwork, flight logs, and post-flight documentation in accordance with Silver Air procedures and Part 135 requirements. To do well in this role, you'll need: Total time in all aircraft = 1000 hours. Multi-engine time = 100 hours. Total Turbine time = 100 hours preferred. Valid First Class Medical Certificate. This is required. Previous Part 135 experience. This is preferred, but not required. CANPASS authorization. You'll need the ability to obtain and maintain CANPASS authorization for unrestricted travel to/from Canada as a commercial pilot. Strong customer service skills. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) will need to be demonstrated with all levels of employees and clients. Communication must always be delivered with a superior level of professionalism. High level of detail. You'll need to be highly organized with the ability to thrive in changing environments and the flexibility for frequently changing priorities. Excellent time management skills. You'll need to be able to work on an on-call basis, with the ability to work well under pressure and to multi-task. Silver Air is a 24/7 organization, so this role requires a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and Holidays. Strong people skills. You'll need to be a team player who can provide valued contributions to our business and clients. Benefits We care deeply about making Silver Air an incredible place to work and we invest a significant amount of time and energy into creating and maintaining a company culture that provides our team with a generous level of support whilst inspiring them to do their best work. The specific benefits / perks we offer are continually evolving, but currently include: Personalized schedule with 10 days off per month and 20 days scheduled for flight.
