R D Pilot Plant / Litter Lab Technician (Contract)

Pay Rate:
$25/hr Position Overview We are seeking a hands-on R D Pilot Plant / Litter Lab Technician to support pilot-scale production and laboratory operations. This role is ideal for a highly detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment and enjoys working across both lab and production settings. Candidates with prior pilot plant or manufacturing experience will be strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities The selected candidate will manufacture pilot-scale batches according to batch instructions and standard operating procedures while maintaining accurate and detailed documentation of all production activities. Responsibilities include weighing ingredients precisely, supporting equipment setup, performing changeovers, and running test batches for various product sizes and packaging formats. The technician will work across all areas of production, including weighing, blending, filling, packaging, and cleaning. Additional duties include cleaning equipment and production areas to required specifications, assisting in lab operations, and operating lab equipment either independently or as part of a team. Adherence to all safety standards and PPE requirements is required. Qualifications Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and demonstrate strong organizational skills with close attention to detail. The role requires a proactive, reliable, and self-motivated individual who is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively. Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and Word is expected, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in pilot plant operations, manufacturing, or production environments and familiarity with SOPs and batch records are preferred. Physical Requirements & Work Environment This role requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and involves constant standing and walking on hard concrete surfaces. The position includes frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and lifting. The work environment may include exposure to dust and fumes, and strict compliance with PPE requirements is mandatory at all times. Additional Details Onsite interviews will be required. This position is best suited for candidates with hands-on production or pilot plant experience rather than purely entry-level lab backgrounds.
