JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:
Associate Degree (ASD or AASD) required in emergency medical service or a related field with a minimum 3+ years of job specific leadership experience: 5+ years of progressively responsible, professional, job specific experience, preferred. Masterful understanding of emergency medical services and non-emergency medical transportation and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles related concepts, practices, systems and terminology. Knowledge of EMS regulations, emergency management systems, and public-sector operations Georgia licensed Paramedic preferred. National Registry - Paramedic desired. Background in disaster response and/or emergency management preferred.ICS/NIMS
training preferred Experience with working with government agencies or in a public safety environmentSkill:
Ability to lead/assist with the management of the department's operations while maintaining and improving quality standards. Excellent presentation, oral, written and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with internal/external customers; ability to communicate with others in sometimes dynamic situations using appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to reduce tension or conflict and maintain professionalism in accordance with HEMS/hospital standards. Familiar with and ability to apply general knowledge using or in the absence of oral/documented guidelines related to researching and writing grants, department procedures, practices, standards, etc. Ability to achieve results through team efforts, willingness to challenge established practices and draw relevant conclusions; ability to lead, counsel and coach work groups. Ability to work in a high pressure or changing environment, and exercise good judgment to resolve problems in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures. Ability to identify, analyze and resolve business/clinical issues through solution-oriented projectsAdvanced Computer Skills:
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong understanding of governmental processes and political environments. Ability to work with dynamic personalities in often stressful conditions.
