The Captain of the Watch - Marine Safety serves as the on-shift marine safety coordinator for Boomtown Belle II, a permanently moored gaming vessel. This position is responsible for maintaining vessel safety awareness, coordinating emergency response, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory and operational requirements. Serve as the on-shift leader for marine safety and emergency response coordination Execute and direct actions in accordance with the Station Bill and Emergency Procedures Maintain situational awareness of all vessel conditions impacting safety Coordinate emergency response efforts with the Engineer of the Watch, Security, and RBT personnel Ensure rapid and effective response during fire, flooding, medical, or other emergency events Responsible for staff development and training programs. Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement. Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regards to performance. Determines recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning and directing work) to meet business needs. Determines work procedures and expedites workflow. Responsible for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, counseling).

Minimum 1 year of operational experience (marine, facilities, security, or similar environment preferred) Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate emergency response activities Strong communication and decision-making skills Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations Strong situational awareness and problem-solving ability CPR / First Aid Certification Basic Firefighting Training Vessel Emergency Procedures Training Evacuation and Crowd Management Training
