This role focuses on care, safety, and smooth transitions—ensuring each rider feels comfortable and supported throughout their trip. • NOT•be driving — the Rider Assistant sits in the passenger seat while a trained driver operates the vehicle ?

They partner with school districts to support students who require specialized transportation or an additional adult in the vehicle. • Key Responsibilities
• + Provide one-on-one support to a student during school transportation + Monitor the rider to ensure safety and comfort + Assist with transitions into and out of the vehicle + Communicate concerns to appropriate staff as needed + Maintain a calm, supportive presence throughout the ride
• Must-Have Qualifications
• + 21 years of age or older + Reliable, independent transportation + At least 3 years of experience caring for children (professional or personal) + Comfortable completing fingerprinting and background checks
• Preferred Qualifications
• + Current CPR certification + Completion of TB screening (questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray if applicable) + Experience working with students in school- or center-based settings
