This role involves safely transporting students to and from school, extracurricular activities, and other designated locations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to safety, and exceptional customer service. As a vital part of our community, you will ensure timely, reliable, and courteous transportation while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor. Duties Safely operate various types of vehicles including shuttle buses, school buses, limousines, or commercial vehicles to transport students and staff within designated routes. Assist students with boarding and disembarking from the vehicle, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance checks of the vehicle to ensure optimal operation and safety standards. Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatchers to coordinate schedules and address any transportation issues promptly. Handle heavy lifting when necessary for loading or unloading equipment or supplies related to school activities. Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure safe transportation at all times. Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance logs. Experience Prior shuttle driving or delivery driver experience is highly preferred. Proven experience operating buses, limousines, or commercial vehicles with a clean driving record. Familiarity with school bus driving regulations and paratransit services is a plus. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with students, parents, and school personnel. Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report issues promptly. Experience in heavy lifting or handling equipment related to school activities is advantageous. Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., CDL for bus driving) with a good safety record.
