The ideal candidate will possess a valid driver's license, experience in bus or commercial driving, and preferably hold a 7D Certification, which enhances qualifications for specialized transportation roles. This position involves transporting passengers safely and efficiently while maintaining a positive experience for all riders. If you enjoy working with diverse populations and have a passion for reliable transportation, this opportunity is perfect for you! Duties Safely operate various types of vehicles, including paratransit vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Transport passengers to designated locations, ensuring timely arrivals and departures Maintain cleanliness and mechanical condition of the vehicle through routine inspections and reporting issues promptly Communicate effectively with passengers, team members, and dispatchers using clear English or multilingual skills as needed Manage behavior on board by employing positive behavior management techniques to ensure a safe environment for children, seniors, or individuals with special needs Follow all safety protocols related to Castelly's Transportation LLC (7D Certification preferred) standards and other regulatory requirements Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in bus driving or commercial driving highly preferred 7D Certification preferred, but not required. Candidates must be willing to obtain certification within 3 months of hire. Proven experience working with children, seniors, or individuals requiring specialized transportation services Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse communities effectively Mechanical knowledge of vehicle operation and basic troubleshooting skills Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally Ability to manage behavior positively and maintain a calm demeanor in dynamic environments Prior experience in school bus driving, paratransit services, or teaching is advantageous but not required Join our team to make a meaningful difference by providing safe, reliable transportation that supports our community's needs.
