Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of vehicles such as shuttle buses, delivery trucks, school buses, limousine services, or paratransit vans to transport passengers or cargo efficiently. Ensure all vehicle inspections are completed before each shift, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, brakes, lights, and other essential systems to maintain optimal safety standards. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting passengers warmly, assisting with boarding and disembarking, and addressing any questions or concerns professionally. Follow established routes and schedules precisely while adapting to traffic conditions or route changes as needed. Conduct routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure vehicle reliability. Handle heavy lifting when loading or unloading cargo or luggage safely and efficiently. Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during your shift. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, passengers, and team members to coordinate operations seamlessly. Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety policies to ensure the well-being of yourself and others on the road. Qualifications Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type you will operate (e.g., CDL for commercial vehicles). Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or similar roles—preferably with a background in passenger transportation or commercial driving. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact courteously with diverse groups of passengers and clients. Experience operating different vehicle types such as limousines, school buses, or paratransit vans is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when loading cargo or luggage. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and basic troubleshooting skills. Excellent attention to detail for conducting safety inspections and maintaining accurate records.
