Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Patient Transport Driver, where your energetic and compassionate approach will make a real difference in patients' lives. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting patients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. Your positive attitude and excellent driving skills will ensure a smooth, comfortable experience for every patient you serve. Responsibilities Safely operate various types of vehicles including shuttle vans, buses, limousines, and paratransit vehicles to transport patients securely and comfortably. Assist patients with boarding and exiting vehicles, providing support for those with mobility challenges or special needs. Maintain clear communication with healthcare staff, dispatchers, and patients to coordinate timely pickups and drop-offs. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met at all times. Handle heavy lifting when necessary to assist with patient equipment or luggage, always prioritizing safety protocols. Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe transportation at all times. Keep accurate records of trips, patient information, and vehicle maintenance logs. Provide exceptional customer service by demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism during every interaction. Requirements Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type. Strong driving skills with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when required. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare staff, and team members. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify issues early and ensure safety compliance. Demonstrated reliability with punctuality and adherence to schedules. A positive attitude combined with a passion for providing outstanding customer service in a healthcare setting.
