As a Clothing Donation Center Pickup Crew Member at Think Big Foundation/Big Brothers Big Sisters, you will play a crucial role in our mission to support youth mentoring programs through the collection and processing of clothing donations. Shift is
Tuesday-Thursday Responsibilities:
Route Completion:
Execute daily routes to collect clothing donations from strategically placed drop boxes around Springfield, MO area.
Donation Handling:
Responsibly manage and handle donated items, ensuring they are transported safely to the Think Big donation facility, including loading and unloading truck
Facility Support:
Assist in processing and preparing donated items for sale to generate funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters youth mentoring programs. Operate pallet jacks and other equipment to move and organize stock
Box Truck Operation:
Safely operate box trucks during pickups, maintaining a high standard of safety and efficiency, Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required Familiarity with operating pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment is preferred
Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift at least 40 lbs continuously throughout the day. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Valid Driver's License:
Possess a valid driver's license and reliable self-transportation to and from work.
Work Ethic:
Demonstrate a strong work ethic and dedication to meaningful work. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills.
Flexibility:
Adapt to a role that involves 10% driving, 80% donation handling, and 10% other duties.
Class E Drivers License:
Preferred at hire, but must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Valid Driver's License and Social Security Card :

Background Checks:
Required at the time of application.
Drug Testing:
Due to commercial vehicle operation, a passing drug test is required.
Work History:
