Meal Assistant

Rocky Mountain Development Council, Inc. is seeking applicants for the position of part-time (approximately 27.5 hours/week) Meal Assistant for the Townsend Senior Nutrition Program. This position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the opportunity to pick up more hours in the Cook's absence. The starting salary for this position is $13.25 per hour. The Meal Assistant's responsibilities include the congregate meal site, home delivered meals and record keeping. This position prepares meals in the Cook's absence.

Minimum Qualifications :

: § relate well with and understand the needs of senior citizens. § keep all information on clients strictly confidential. § have reliable personal transportation, liability insurance, good driver's record and current driver's license (need for meals delivery). § fill in for Cook when needed. § assist with doing dishes. § lift up to 30 pounds. § be outdoors in severe weather conditions. : § Equivalent to a high school education. : § Preference given to applicants who have experience working with senior citizens. Must have a reliable vehicle with current driver's license and be approved as a driver by Rocky's insurance carrier as outlined in Rocky's Driving and Vehicle Usage Policy. Occasional travel in hazardous weather conditions may be required. Must pass a criminal background check. Must be able to lift 30 pounds with or without accommodation.
