Afterschool Program (Non-Commercial Driver's License) Driver LUCY Outreach Camden, NJ Job Details Part-time $19 - $22 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Driver's License Working with children Full Job Description Overview The primary purpose of the LUCY Afterschool Program Lift Driver is to support LUCY Outreach in providing transportation support to at-risk youth ages 7-15, and their families. In providing transportation, area youth will have access to comprehensive and innovative Afterschool and evening programming, which ensures the safety and well-being of each youth by responding to their emotional, social, physical, and educational needs, and helps them meet their academic and social potential. LUCY is strictly an alcohol free, drug free work environment Responsibilities Operate LUCY van transportation services along a designated route in accordance to a set schedule; pick up and drop off LUCY youth participants at homes and/or designated stops Conduct safety inspections of all LUCY vehicles; ensure all vehicles are properly maintained, cleaned, and ordered Service LUCY vehicles with gas; inspect/monitor tire, battery maintenance - attend to maintenance, if appropriate; monitor oil checks; report required mechanical repairs when necessary and assist in scheduling and/or delivering vans for service Help perform periodic safety drills with LUCY youth and scholars Maintain behavioral order and safety standards according to LUCY policy while driving; complete all required driving logs and checklists, including incident reports when needed Attend various LUCY meetings and/or trainings, when applicable; complete defensive driving, vehicle safety, first aid and other relevant trainings on an annual basis Other related duties, as required Requirements Valid New Jersey driver's license (non-CDL) in good standing (clean MVR report); at least 5 years of driving experience Clean tox Ability to drive 15-passenger vans or similar multi-passenger vehicles in a safe and efficient manner at all times Familiarity with Camden neighborhoods and schools; experience working with youth Ability to work cooperatively with different types of personalities and individuals of all ages Conversational Spanish is strongly preferred All candidates will be required to complete (and successfully clear) a criminal history background check All candidates will be required to complete (and successfully clear) a 10-point drug panel screen (including cannabis and THC). If hired, the same screening requirement will be repeated randomly each year of employment

$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
