Behavioral Health Driver - Per Diem Phoenix Behavioral Health - 2.9 Cherry Hill, NJ Job Details Part-time $16 an hour 19 hours ago Benefits Fuel card On-the-job training Qualifications Customer communication Personal transportation assistance Full Job Description Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Behavioral Health Driver - Per Diem and play a vital role in providing safe, reliable transportation for individuals receiving behavioral health services. This flexible position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by ensuring clients reach their appointments comfortably and on time. As a key member of our mobility team, you will operate various types of vehicles, including shuttle vans, buses, and limousines, demonstrating excellent driving skills and exceptional customer service. Your dedication to safety, communication, and compassionate care will help foster positive experiences for those we serve. Duties Safely operate vans to transport clients to and from behavioral health appointments and community activities Conduct pre-trip inspections and routine vehicle maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance with all transportation regulations Assist clients with boarding and exiting vehicles, providing support for individuals with mobility challenges or special needs Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, and passenger counts in accordance with company policies Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and dispatchers to coordinate schedules and address any issues promptly Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during every trip Perform heavy lifting when necessary for securing mobility aids or assisting clients with belongings Experience Prior experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or paratransit services preferred Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., driver license or commercial driver's license) Experience operating various vehicles such as limousines, school buses, or heavy-duty commercial vehicles is advantageous Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members Knowledge of vehicle maintenance routines and safety standards is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily operations Join us in delivering compassionate transportation services that support mental health recovery and community engagement.
