Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in bus and commercial driving, with excellent communication skills and a focus on safety. This role involves transporting passengers, including children and seniors, in a professional and courteous manner. The position offers flexible hours from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with an attractive sign-on bonus for qualified applicants. Duties Safely operate MAVO (Micro-Automated Vehicle Operations) or MAVT (Micro-Automated Vehicle Transport) vehicles according to traffic laws and company policies. Transport passengers efficiently while maintaining punctuality and adherence to scheduled routes. Assist passengers, including children or seniors, with boarding, alighting, and securing their belongings as needed. Communicate clearly with passengers and team members to provide updates or address concerns professionally. Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure safety standards are met. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle interior and exterior at all times. Follow all safety protocols, including behavior management techniques when interacting with children or individuals requiring special assistance. Provide excellent customer service by creating a welcoming environment and addressing passenger needs courteously. Skills Proven experience in bus driving or commercial driving roles, with knowledge of paratransit or school bus operations preferred. Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities such as bilingualism are a plus for serving diverse communities. Ability to manage behavior effectively when working with children or individuals requiring special attention. Mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting issues on the road. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; familiarity with driver standards is advantageous. Experience in childcare, senior care, or teaching environments enhances ability to handle sensitive situations professionally. Writing skills for documentation or reporting incidents clearly and accurately. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high safety standards and providing outstanding customer service.
