Wheelchair & Taxi Transportation Company:
At Your Service Transportation At Your Service Transportation is currently hiring compassionate, dependable, and professional NEMT drivers to provide safe transportation for clients traveling to medical appointments, residences, nursing homes, hospitals, shopping centers, airports, adult day programs, and other community destinations. We are hiring for part-time, per diem/as-needed, and possible full-time positions . This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others and wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of elderly individuals, individuals with disabilities, and clients who need reliable transportation.
Starting Pay:
$17/hour for the first 90 days, with the opportunity for an increase based on performance.
Job Responsibilities:
Safely operate a company vehicle, including taxi and wheelchair-accessible vehicles. Provide professional door-to-door transportation service. Assist clients safely in and out of vehicles when needed. Properly secure wheelchairs and mobility devices according to safety procedures. Transport clients to and from medical facilities, residences, nursing homes, hospitals, shopping centers, airports, restaurants, and other approved destinations. Maintain 100% trip accuracy, including pickup/drop-off locations, times, mileage, and required trip documentation. Use a smartphone with access to email, internet, GPS, and transportation apps. Communicate clearly and professionally with dispatch, clients, nurses, facility staff, family members, and caregivers. Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful vehicle environment. Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and transportation guidelines. Show patience, respect, and true compassion toward elderly clients, individuals with disabilities, and those needing extra assistance. Report any vehicle issues, client concerns, delays, incidents, or schedule changes to dispatch immediately.
Requirements:
Must be at least 23 years old for insurance purposes. Must possess a valid NY Class E Driver's License. Must have a clean and acceptable driving record. Minimum of 2 years of driving experience required. Must be reliable, punctual, and professional. Must be able to pass required background checks and drug screening. Must be comfortable using a smartphone, GPS, email, and transportation apps. Must have strong communication and customer service skills. Must be patient, respectful, and compassionate with elderly and disabled clients. Wheelchair transportation experience is preferred but not required. Training may be provided for the right candidate.

Part-time Per diem/as needed Possible full-time opportunity based on availability, performance, and company needs Daytime availability preferred Some flexibility may be required depending on transportation schedules
