Job Description

Job Overview A summer camp driver who transports staff at night is primarily responsible for operating camp vehicles (vans, SUVs, or buses) safely. They facilitate scheduled evening departures, run staff shuttles to and from local areas for time off, and provide late-night airport transportation. They ensure strict adherence to safety and traffic protocols. Duties Transportation & Shuttles Safely operate camp vehicles to transport staff to local establishments, transit hubs, or emergency appointments during late-evening hours. Maintain punctual, pre-planned or on-call schedules for evening staff members going off-duty or returning to camp. Enforce passenger safety regulations, such as mandatory seatbelt use and passenger capacity limits, at all times. Vehicle Safety & Maintenance Keep the transportation vehicle fueled, clean, and organized throughout your shift. Ensure all emergency equipment (e.g., first aid kits, flashlights, fire extinguishers) is stocked, accessible, and functional. Camp Policies & Risk Management Maintain a professional, confidential, and courteous demeanor with all camp personnel. Follow all camp-specific policies regarding curfews, out-of-bounds areas, and emergency communications. Report any accidents, traffic violations, or behavioral incidents immediately to camp management.
Qualifications Age & License:
Minimum 21 years of age with a valid state driver's license (e.g., PA driver's license) and a clean driving record.
Background Check:
Must pass all required criminal background checks and motor vehicle record reviews.
Availability:
Flexible schedule required, including weekend availability and late-night or early-morning assignments.
Pay:
From $14.50 per hour
