Duties Safely operate shuttle buses, delivery vans, and other commercial vehicles to transport passengers and goods within the county. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, alighting, and answering questions courteously. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety. Load and unload cargo or equipment, including heavy lifting when necessary, following proper safety protocols. Maintain accurate logs of trips, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records for compliance and reporting purposes. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, passengers, and team members to coordinate schedules and address any issues promptly. Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure a secure environment for everyone on board. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in shuttle driving, bus driving, or limousine service is highly desirable. Proven experience as a delivery driver or commercial driver; familiarity with paratransit or school bus driving is a plus. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with passengers and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo safely. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify issues early and ensure vehicle safety standards are met. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor. Prior experience in driving drivers or similar roles preferred; CDL certification may be required depending on the vehicle type.
