DSP Needed in West Philadelphia FTHSS Philadelphia, PA Job Details Part-time From $22.50 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Transporting special needs passengers Chauffeur driving Full Job Description We are currently seeking a compassionate, engaging, and dependable Female Direct Support Professional to provide one-on-one support for an adult female client in West Philadelphia.

Monday:
8:30 AM•5:30
PM Wednesday:
8:30 AM•5:30
PM Friday:
8:30 AM•5:30 PM Additional hours may be available to provide backup coverage for evening and weekend staff. About the
Client:
The client has cerebral palsy and is currently recovering from brain surgery. During her recovery, the majority of services will take place in the client's home with her parents present. The family is looking for someone who is: Warm, patient, and friendly Engaging and able to build a positive rapport Creative in keeping the client mentally stimulated through activities such as: Math problems and brain games Uno Checkers Conversation and other interactive activities One to two days per week, the DSP will accompany the client to music therapy on Columbus Boulevard. As her recovery progresses, she will gradually transition back into community activities. Staff will also be responsible for transporting the client to activities, medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other community outings as needed. Applicants must be comfortable driving the client and supporting her in the community.
Qualifications:
Female applicant preferred based on the client's needs and preferences Experience supporting individuals with cerebral palsy or other physical disabilities Comfortable assisting individuals who use walkers, wheelchairs, and other mobility equipment Dependable, patient, and engaging personality Reliable transportation required Valid driver's license Current vehicle registration and auto insurance
