Job Description
This is a part time position best suited to individuals looking for supplementary income. All shifts are scheduled on a voluntary basis Monday through Friday during typical daytime working hours. Applicants residing in the Wilton area are preferred. Looking for applicants to help us provide safe, reliable, courteous and efficient transportation service for group home residents. Minimum eligibility requirements Possess a valid driver's license. Meet motor vehicle records clearance requirements. Must have compassion for and desire to work with the disabled. Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff and general public. Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others. Must be 18 years of age or older. Ability to treat all people with sensitivity and courtesy. Must be capable of maintaining consistent attendance. Must pass criminal background check. Essential functions Assist residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle. Secure safety belts as is required. Provide a smoke-free environment while transporting residents. Prepare the vehicle for operation by performing pre-trip safety inspection. Monitor the ongoing condition of the vehicle during operation. Prepare required paperwork and submit in a timely manner as required by the Community. Other duties as assigned.
