We're currently hiring Train Conductors / Switchmen. No prior railroad experience? No problem. We provide comprehensive paid training, including both classroom instruction and hands-on field experience, to help you build the skills needed for success. In this role, you'll help direct the movement of railcars throughout our facility, supporting the safe and efficient loading, unloading, arrival, and departure of trains. Basic Job Requirements Must have the ability to maintain a focus on safety while working around moving heavy machinery. Must be able to repeatedly climb, squat, bend, etc. throughout the shift. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Must be able to stand and walk throughout the shift on uneven terrain (railroads tracks, gravel, etc.) Must be able to work outdoors in any weather conditions (extreme heat, cold, rain, etc.) Must have open availability to work DAY and NIGHT shift. Must be open to work overtime daily, if needed. Must be open to work weekends; and holidays if scheduled. Must be able to maintain good attendance and come in for all scheduled shifts. Must be able to communicate (read, speak and write) in English to meet FRA requirements. Pre-Employment Eligibility Requirements To be eligible for employment, the following minimum requirements must be met: Be at least 18 Years of Age. Pass a Drug Test and a Saliva/Breath Alcohol Test. Pass a Criminal Background Check (for the last 7 years). Provide a Valid Driver's License and an original Social Security card. Provide a recent DMV Driver Record ( with no more than 4 traffic violations and absolutely no DUIs, reckless driving charges, and current probation in the past three years ).
