Position:
ATMO - Atlantic Targets and Marine Operations, Engineering Technician III (Key West, FL) Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Performs routine work independently and begins to perform non-routine and complex assignments involving responsibility for planning and conducting a complete project of relatively limited scope or a portion of a larger and more diverse project. Responsible for helping maintain and repair the ship's equipment and systems to ensure everything operates safely and efficiently. This includes troubleshooting issues, performing routine maintenance, testing equipment, and assisting with repairs on mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems onboard the vessel. The role may involve working in engine rooms, equipment spaces, or other operational areas of the ship, both while docked and sometimes while underway at sea. Candidates should be comfortable working in a team environment, following safety procedures, and handling hands-on technical work in a fast-paced setting. Skilled maintenance or engineering support technician who helps keep the vessel running properly. Reviews analysis and integrates the technical work of others. Provides oversight and training of other technicians. Ensures compliance to all Company Policies and Federal, State and Local Government Agencies regulations. Any other duties as required for the Contract performance.
Qualifications:
High School graduation or equivalency certification is required. Ordnance handling certification is required. A total of at least 4 years of experience in performing the foregoing functions in marine operations. Eligible for secret clearance.
