Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Marine Transporter / Boat Hauler to join our marine dealership and boatyard team. This position is responsible for transporting boats between dealership locations, marinas, boatyards, customer properties, and launch facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience towing large trailers, operating marine equipment, and safely handling vessels of various sizes.

This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to protecting customer and company assets during transport operations.

Key Responsibilities Transport boats and trailers safely to and from marinas, boatyards, customer locations, service facilities, and boat ramps. Load, secure, launch, retrieve, and position boats using proper marine handling procedures. Operate trucks, trailers, forklifts, yard tractors, and other equipment as required. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, trailers, and vessels. Ensure all vessels are properly secured and protected during transportation. Assist with boat deliveries, customer demonstrations, and dealership inventory movement. Coordinate transportation schedules with service, sales, and management teams. Maintain transportation logs, inspection records, and required documentation. Assist with yard organization, boat storage, and vessel staging. Report equipment maintenance needs and safety concerns. Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures. Qualifications Valid driver's license required. CDL preferred but not required (depending on vessel size and transport requirements). Experience towing large trailers and oversized loads preferred. Experience handling boats, trailers, and marine equipment. Strong understanding of safe trailering, launching, and vessel securing procedures. Clean driving record. Ability to work independently and manage transportation schedules. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety. Preferred Skills Marine dealership, marina, or boatyard experience. Forklift, travel lift, or heavy equipment operation experience. Knowledge of DOT regulations and transport permitting requirements. Experience transporting vessels ranging from small boats to large center consoles and yachts. Basic mechanical aptitude and marine systems knowledge. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to climb ladders, trailers, and vessels safely. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
