Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic maritime team as a Deckhand/Mate, where your energy and enthusiasm will help ensure smooth sailing on every voyage! In this vital role, you will assist with vessel operations, maintenance, and guest services, contributing to a safe, efficient, and enjoyable experience for all onboard. Your positive anttitude and hospitality mindset will be key to delivering exceptional service while maintaining the vessel's safety and functionality. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your maritime skills in a lively and supportive environment. Duties Assist with rigging operations, ensuring all lines, sails, and equipment are properly secured and maintained Support the deck crew with vessel maintenance tasks including cleaning, painting, and mechanical inspections Help prepare and serve meals or refreshments for guests and crew, demonstrating hospitality and customer service skills Monitor safety procedures on board, including safety drills, life-saving equipment checks, and emergency preparedness Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort during excursions Support navigation and operational tasks under the supervision of the Mate or Captain Conduct routine inspections of deck areas to identify hazards or maintenance needs and report findings promptly Qualifications Prior experience or training in boating is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential Strong communication skills with a friendly approach to guest interactions Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, climbing, and working outdoors in various weather conditions A positive attitude with a passion for hospitality and teamwork Must be able to pass USCG required drug test Embark on an exciting journey where your hands-on skills meet exceptional service!
