Spend your summer on the water soaking in the sun? Party Cat , Savannah's premier charter boat company, is looking for a Jr. Deckhand for the 2026 charter season. In this role, you will work directly under the guidance of the First Mate , ensuring our large-scale parties run smoothly and our guests have the time of their lives. We are looking for someone safety-oriented, energetic, and ready to learn the ropes of professional maritime hospitality.
Key Responsibilities Operational Support:
Report directly to the First Mate and assist with the execution of large party charters (bachelorette/bachelor parties, engagements, birthdays).
Dock Operations:
Manage guest operations on the dock, including greeting guests, ensuring electronic check-ins, and coordinating boarding/disembarking.
Vessel Handling:
Assist the Captain and First Mate in docking, anchoring, and other technical maneuvers.
Relief Support:
Provide relief shifts and coverage for the First Mate, maintaining a high standard of vessel oversight.
Guest Experience:
Create an exciting atmosphere, take high-quality photos for guests, and provide unparalleled customer service.
Safety & Maintenance:
Enforce all safety rules, participate in quarterly training drills, and maintain the vessel to "Party Cat" standards before and after trips.
Requirements Location:
Must live in or near Savannah, GA.
Personality:
Outgoing, socially aware, and able to work in high-energy social environments.
Physical Ability:
Must be a proficient swimmer and able to work in outdoor summer conditions (high heat, humidity, rain).
Technical:
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and enroll in random testing.
Certification:
First Aid/CPR Certified (or willing to obtain certification immediately).
Experience:
Previous boating experience is valued, but we will train the right person on technical skills if you have the right attitude! Schedule & Pay We operate 7 days a week during daylight hours. Weekend availability (Friday-Sunday) is a must . This is a flexible part-time position.
Daily Earnings:
Deckhands typically make $200 - $400 per day during the busy season through our guaranteed gratuity program
