Full-Time / Part-Time About Us Makena Coast Charters is a premier charter operation based out of Kihei Boat Ramp, offering unforgettable snorkel and sightseeing tours to Molokini Crater and the stunning coastline of Maui. We take pride in delivering a safe, fun, and personalized experience for every guest aboard the Makena Mele II. The Role We're looking for an enthusiastic and water-confident Boat Crew Member to join our team. You'll work alongside the captain to ensure smooth, safe, and enjoyable tours for our guests. This is a hands-on, guest-facing role that requires someone who thrives in a marine environment and genuinely loves the ocean. Responsibilities Assist the captain with all vessel operations before, during, and after tours Greet and brief guests on safety procedures and snorkel equipment use Help guests in and out of the water safely Monitor guests in the water during snorkel stops Handle lines, anchoring, and general deck work Set up and break down snorkel gear, towels, and onboard amenities Keep the vessel clean and well-maintained Provide excellent customer service and share your knowledge of Maui's marine environment Requirements Strong swimming ability — you must be fully comfortable in open ocean conditions Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before start date) Friendly, outgoing personality with strong guest service skills Reliable, punctual, and a team player Comfortable working early mornings and varied schedules Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Preferred Qualifications Prior experience on charter boats, tour vessels, or in the water sports industry Knowledge of Maui's marine life and snorkel sites Basic first aid training What We Offer Work on the water in one of the most beautiful places on earth Tips from guests A tight-knit, passionate crew Competitive pay based on experience Makena Coast Charters is an equal opportunity employer.
