Job Description
As part of its expansion in Boston, Socceroof is hiring. Socceroof is an indoor 5-a-side soccer concept, offering modern facilities and a social, high-quality playing experience in the heart of major cities. Designed as true community hubs, our centers bring people together through their passion for the game in a dynamic and accessible environment. With the opening of our new facility in South Boston, we are looking for staff members to join the team. You will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the site and help deliver a great experience to every customer. Job Summary Ensure the smooth operation of soccer facilities. Provide exceptional customer service. Maintain a safe and clean environment. Follow all company procedures, including daily opening and closing checklists. May take on part-time responsibilities as Coach, Host, or Manager. Reports to the Facility Manager. Responsibilities as a Facility Staff Open and close facilities as scheduled, ensuring security and readiness. Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance or repair needs. Maintain cleanliness of fields, locker rooms, and common areas. Provide excellent customer service and respond to user inquiries professionally. Assist with event setup/teardown, field prep, and equipment installation. Enforce facility rules and regulations. Perform basic maintenance and report issues to maintenance team. Collaborate with fellow staff for smooth operations. Participate in training and professional development. Prepare and serve beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Maintain a clean and stocked bar area. Handle cash and transactions accurately. Verify ID and legal age for alcohol purchases. Conduct inventory and welcome customers when necessary. Upsell and cross-sell food and beverage items. Responsibilities as a Coach (Birthday, Camp, or Classes) Plan and lead training sessions to develop player skills. Strategize and supervise team performance. Mentor players and promote teamwork. Responsibilities as a Host (Birthday, Camp, or Classes) Greet parents and players upon arrival. Ensure smooth check-in processes. Provide a great experience during events and classes. Responsibilities as a Manager (League or Tournament) Deliver outstanding experiences to participants. Check in with teams, players, and referees. Manage game schedules, organization, and rankings. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (associate's/bachelor's preferred). Bartending or food service experience preferred. Knowledge of alcohol service guidelines and local liquor laws. Legal age to serve alcohol. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in teams. Physical ability to lift, bend, and move equipment. Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Basic understanding of soccer facility operations. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a sports or recreation facility. Familiarity with soccer facility equipment and operations. Bilingual or multilingual skills. Working Conditions Full-time & Part-time position. High-performing staff may gain additional responsibilities or advance to Assistant Manager.
Hourly wage starting at:
$16.50/hour. May require late-night or weekend shifts. Opportunities for growth and advancement. Collaborative and dynamic work culture.Paid time off:
