Operations Associate Cap'n Fish's Cruises — Boothbay Harbor, ME Part-Time, Seasonal 3-4 Days Per Week Starting at $17.00/hr About Cap'n Fish's Cruises Cap'n Fish's Cruises is dedicated to providing our guests with fun, educational, and memorable experiences along the beautiful Maine coastline. Position Overview We're looking for an energetic, dependable team player to join us in a flexible, multi-function role that keeps our operation running smoothly during peak season. As an Operations Associate, you'll rotate between three key areas of our business — Guest Services, Parking, and Boat Crew — depending on where you're needed most on any given day. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced outdoor environment, enjoys working with the public, and wants variety in their workday. No two days look exactly alike. One morning you might be answering calls and helping guests sort out their reservations; by afternoon, you could be directing cars in the lot or helping crew a scenic harbor cruise. You'll report to the Operations Manager and take direction from the vessel Captain when on board. What You'll Do Guest Services Answer incoming phone calls and respond to guest emails in a friendly, professional manner Help guests with common questions: parking, departure locations, arrival timing, ticketing, and rescheduling Assist with reservation changes and booking adjustments using FareHarbor software Escalate complex issues, complaints, or private charter inquiries to management Parking Operations Open and close the parking booth; count and reconcile the petty cash drawer Direct guests into available spaces and manage lot flow at the entrance and exit Collect parking payments and assist guests with questions about tours and ticketing Valet cars when necessary and maintain accurate valet tracking records Ensure the safety of vehicles and pedestrians throughout the lot Boat Crew Greet passengers as they board and collect tickets Stock and sell food, beverages, and merchandise on board Handle dock lines safely and maintain vessel cleanliness before, during, and after trips Know the location and function of all onboard safety equipment Participate in safety drills and a random drug testing program Perform all duties associated with the ship's station bill as directed by the Captain Be willing to learn basic seamanship and assist the crew as needed What We're Looking For Friendly, customer-focused attitude with strong communication skills Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor environment Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on the water in varying weather conditions Valid driver's license (required for parking/valet duties) Basic computer skills; experience with FareHarbor or similar reservation software is a plus Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, customer service, or maritime settings is preferred Must be willing to participate in a random drug testing program Weekend and holiday availability required during peak season Why Join Our Team?
