CPR Cleaning Full Job Description About Us:
Our crew enjoys providing guests with a unique river experience and appreciates our collaborative team culture, on-the-job training and growth opportunities. We also provide other perks like family discounts on cruises in Portland and the Columbia Gorge and, of course, beautiful river views. This position is responsible for the narration/deckhand duties on our 40ft open air boat 45 mph boat for up to 32 passengers. Friday/Sat/Sun availability required. Pre-employment drug screen & enrolled in random D.O.T. drug testing schedule required (including marijuana). Training is paid and available. All you need is a great attitude, a willingness to learn and a desire to engage with passengers! You will be an important part of many special days and memories for our guests.
DIRECT RESPONSIBILITIES
Completion of Senior Deckhand safety training. Gain and possess thorough knowledge of the location and use of all safety equipment on board and emergency response of crew and passengers. Possess the ability to direct emergency response. Demonstrate good leadership and the ability to perform under pressure. Reports directly to and carries out the directives of the Captain. Demonstrate ability to identify and address safety/maintenance projects as they arise and report them to the Captain. Complete safety or maintenance projects directed by Captain. Thoroughly clean vessel before and after cruises. Complete items on the Senior Deckhand task sheet. Provide good customer service with passengers. Last but not least, provide
EXCITING
narration during cruise and interact with passengers (script/talking points provided). Possibility to work as a deckhand on other vessels.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Be a self starter. Capable of lifting and carrying 40 pounds. Maritime background helpful, but not required. CPR training. Ability to stand for long periods of time, on an open air vessel.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Pre-employment drug testing including Marijuana, per USCG regulation. May be selected for random drug tests after hire.
WORK SCHEDULE
