By combining mooring system design, operational knowledge of mooring equipment, anchor handling and industry failure modes with subsea engineering expertise, we create a company unmatched within the mooring niche. This approach mitigates risks in delivery, installation and operations across the lifecycle, reducing mooring lifecycle costs and safeguarding major operations that protect start-up schedules when mooring and mooring intervention are on the project or production critical path. Intermoor is looking to add a Staff Mooring Engineer to the team. The Staff Mooring Engineer is based in Houston, TX and supports engineering activities across InterMoor's U.S. offices. The role involves both office‑based engineering and domestic and international travel, including offshore work. Staff Mooring Engineers support the design, analysis, and execution of offshore mooring systems while developing hands‑on experience through on‑the‑job training and project involvement. Duties Support the design and analysis of offshore mooring systems in accordance with project and regulatory requirements Assist with development and review of installation concepts, procedures, and engineering deliverables Support offshore execution activities, including installation, recovery, and disconnect operations Perform rigging calculations and assist with preparation of equipment lists Interface with engineers, offshore operations teams, clients, and vessel personnel/owners Participate in site visits, offshore campaigns, and post job documentation under supervision Define installation vessel requirements and evaluate suitable vessels Participate in shore base and offshore vessel visits and provide offshore installation supervision Required Bachelor's or Master's degree in Ocean, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or equivalent 2-5 years of relevant offshore or marine engineering experience Foundational understanding of mooring systems, offshore operations, and marine terminology Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills Willingness to travel and work offshore Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship Ability to perform office‑based and offshore duties, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and handling equipment as required during offshore activities
