Job Description

Position Summary:
The Parts Driver is responsible for assisting customers, technicians, and service advisors in identifying, locating, and ordering automotive parts and accessories. This position plays a critical role in supporting the service and repair operations by ensuring the timely and accurate supply of parts. The Parts Advisor maintains inventory accuracy, provides excellent customer service, and ensures smooth parts department operations. This role operates in a retail and service support environment and reports directly to the Parts Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely deliver and pick up parts, equipment, and supplies between the dealership, customers, and vendors Verify parts orders for accuracy and obtain proper signatures upon delivery or pickup Maintain delivery logs and documentation as required by the dealership Assist with loading and unloading parts and ensuring secure transport Handle parts returns and core returns according to dealership and manufacturer policies Provide excellent customer service and represent the dealership professionally at all times Assist the Parts Department with stocking, organizing, and inventory control when not on deliveries Keep delivery vehicle clean, fueled, and report any maintenance issues promptly Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and dealership policies Perform other duties as assigned to support department or dealership operations Qualifications & Experience Valid driver's license with clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required Prior driving or delivery experience preferred Familiarity with local area routes and safe driving practices Ability to follow delivery schedules and handle time-sensitive tasks Strong communication and customer service skills Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently Must pass pre-employment background check, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, and drug screening Work Conditions & Physical Requirements Primarily outdoor and driving-based role with exposure to weather and traffic conditions Requires frequent standing, lifting, carrying, and walking Must be able to lift and carry parts and boxes weighing up to 50 pounds Full-time schedule with potential overtime or Saturday shifts based on delivery volume May require occasional warehouse or shop assistance during non-driving hours Technology & Tools Dealership parts invoicing or delivery software (if applicable) Company-provided delivery vehicle Mobile phone or tablet for routing and communication Basic familiarity with parts labels and documentation Compliance and Confidentiality Statement This role requires a level of discretion and confidentiality in handling customer financial information, dealership records, and/or employee data
