Delivery Driver

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves delivering appliances to customers' homes and businesses, ensuring timely and safe transportation. The ideal candidate will have experience in delivery driving, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle heavy loads. Duties Safely operate box trucks and commercial vehicles to deliver furniture across designated routes. Load and unload furniture using equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols. Assist customers with furniture placement and setup upon delivery, providing exceptional customer service throughout the process. Navigate route driving efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after deliveries to maintain vehicle safety standards. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each route. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered during routes. Assist in warehouse operations when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and loading supplies. Qualifications Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with furniture or heavy goods delivery. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus but not required. Experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles with manual transmission. Ability to lift heavy furniture and move items safely using forklifts or pallet jacks when necessary. Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude. Warehouse experience is advantageous for handling loading/unloading tasks efficiently. Knowledge of route driving, traffic laws, and safety procedures. Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks regularly throughout the day.
