Driver Morning & Afternoon only(DSP)part time Brave Hearts Day Program Job Overview We are seeking energetic and dedicated part-time drivers to join our team for morning and afternoon shifts. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to community care by safely transporting clients to and from their homes. As a Driver (DSP), you will play a vital role in ensuring timely, reliable transportation while providing compassionate support to individuals with diverse needs. This position is perfect for those passionate about making a positive impact in people's lives through dependable service and friendly interaction. Responsibilities Safely operate company vehicles during designated morning and afternoon shifts, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols. Transport clients from home to the day program with punctuality and professionalism. Assist clients with boarding and exiting vehicles, providing support as needed for mobility challenges or disabilities. Observe and monitor clients' well-being during transit, noting any concerns related to health or safety. Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle, including routine cleaning and disinfecting to ensure a hygienic environment. Follow care plans and document transportation details accurately, including any incidents or observations relevant to client care. Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and families to coordinate schedules and address special needs or requests. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving passenger vehicles preferred. Knowledge of local roads, traffic regulations, and safe driving practices. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with diverse populations. Basic first aid certification; CPR certification or willing to obtain. Experience working in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments preferred. Ability to assist with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), such as helping clients with mobility or personal care tasks when necessary. Comfortable performing light cleaning duties within vehicles and assisting with meal preparation or medication reminders if required. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations regarding client privacy and confidentiality. Physical ability to lift heavy items Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's, autism spectrum disorder, or memory care needs is highly desirable.
