  • Full-time Town & Country Event Rentals is seeking skilled Class A Driver/Installers to operate our largest box trucks as well as smaller box trucks for the delivery and pick-up of high-value event rental equipment.
This hands-on role combines safe driving, equipment handling, installation, crew leadership, and excellent customer service, ensuring timely delivery and setup across the Greater Los Angeles area. Duties & Responsibilities Driving & Vehicle Operations Safely operate large and medium-duty box trucks, adhering to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and regulations. Verify routes, assignments, and special instructions with Dispatch prior to departure; report any delays or schedule changes immediately. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks; maintain accurate truck weight, mileage, and complete daily logs, including Hours of Service (HOS) and Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR). Deliver and pick up event equipment on time, ensuring proper securing of all items to prevent shifting or damage during transit. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and organization; report any shortages or safety concerns to Dispatch. Submit route paperwork to Dispatch upon returning to the main warehouse. Installation & Event Inventory Load, unload, and safely handle rental equipment for delivery and on-site installation. Install and break down tents, staging, and other event infrastructure as needed. Lead a small crew to safely and efficiently install and/or pick up inventory at each job site. Follow company and OSHA guidelines for safely loading, unloading, transporting, and handling inventory. Verify and log inventory counts against order paperwork; report shortages, overages, or equipment damage to Dispatch. Properly document and report workplace injuries, auto accidents, or property damage according to company procedures. Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance requirements, including pre-employment physicals, drug screenings, and maintaining a clean driving record. Professionalism & Customer Service Demonstrate a positive attitude and respect toward clients, vendors, and coworkers. Provide excellent customer service through professional communication and prompt resolution of client needs. Foster positive relationships with Event Directors, Production Managers, and Event Sales Associates to support successful events. Assist other drivers and crew members as needed to ensure overall company success. Qualifications & Requirements Valid California Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A). At least 2 years of experience driving heavy box trucks or other heavy-duty vehicles requiring a Class A license. Previous experience driving box trucks is required. Proficient in using GPS; able to follow written or verbal directions. Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills. Ability to lift 75+ lbs. and work long hours, weekends, holidays, or late shifts as needed. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Resumes must include relevant driving experience. Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Frequent driving with exposure to varying weather conditions; occasional work in a warehouse or event site environment. Hands-on handling of event equipment, including loading, unloading, installation, and breakdown. Must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Physical Requirements:
Constant (80%+ of the time): Mental acuity, visual acuity, hearing, oral communication, attendance, and travel. Frequent (20-70% of the time): Written communication, prolonged standing, lifting under 50 lbs., lifting over 50 lbs., pushing or pulling, reaching, bending, kneeling, squatting, and repetitive motion. Occasional (5-19% of the time): Climbing stairs, independent judgment, overhead lifting.
