Role:
The Delivery Driver/Sales Associate plays a critical dual role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to customers while also supporting sales efforts to enhance customer satisfaction and drive revenue growth. This position requires a professional who can manage logistics efficiently, maintain excellent communication with customers, and represent the company positively during every interaction. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling products carefully, navigating delivery routes effectively, and addressing customer inquiries or concerns with a helpful and solution-oriented approach. Additionally, this role involves assisting in-store sales activities, including product promotion, inventory management, and providing knowledgeable recommendations to customers. Ultimately, the Delivery Driver/Sales Associate contributes to the overall success of the business by combining operational excellence with strong customer service and sales support.
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds safely. High school diploma or equivalent. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in delivery driving or sales roles. Familiarity with GPS navigation and route planning tools. Customer service training or experience. Knowledge of the products or industry related to the company. Ability to operate point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently deliver products to customers within designated routes and timeframes. Verify delivery orders and obtain customer signatures to confirm receipt of goods. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, returns, and any customer interactions during delivery. Assist customers in-store by answering questions, providing product information, and supporting sales transactions. Support inventory management by restocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and reporting stock levels. Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer needs and promote relevant products or services. Ensure the delivery vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and stocked with necessary supplies. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during deliveries and sales activities.
