Job Description
This is a part-time position only. No full-time hours are available. Premier BioSource produces swine for biomedical research and delivers animals to clients using company-owned Ford Transit vans equipped with large transport crates. This position is ideal for someone with a highly flexible schedule, including semi-retired individuals looking for occasional weekly work. Deliveries may require overnight hotel stays and long-distance driving, including trips lasting 12-18 hours one way. All fuel, hotel, and travel-related expenses are covered by the company. Schedule Part-time only Approximately 0-20 hours per week Flexible, as-needed scheduling Typically suited for drivers available for overnight and extended trips Responsibilities Safely transport livestock to client locations Drive overnight and complete long-distance routes Load, unload, and handle pigs safely and humanely Lift and move up to 75 lbs Weigh and sort pigs prior to transport Clean and prepare delivery vehicles and transport equipment Perform basic vehicle inspections and maintenance checks Assist with vehicle prep and load-out before trips Maintain a clean driving record and operate company vehicles responsibly Qualifications Valid driver's license with clean driving record Comfortable driving long distances and overnight routes Able to lift up to 75 lbs Dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with livestock Flexible availability required Benefits $30 daily meal stipend while traveling All travel expenses covered, including fuel and hotels Paid training Flexible schedule Profit sharing 401(k) We will begin scheduling interviews after an initial resume collection period of several weeks.
