San Bernardino, CA Job Details Full-time $25 - $30 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description Primary Purpose The Delivery & Pickup Technician (P&D Technician) is responsible for safely operating company vehicles and transporting rental equipment to and from customer locations. This position supports Cinelease operations by delivering, retrieving, positioning, and assisting with the setup of portable restrooms, hand wash stations, holding tanks, restroom trailers, temporary fencing, barricades, and other rental equipment while providing exceptional customer service. Essential Functions Safely operate company trucks and equipment in accordance with Cinelease policies and all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Deliver and pick up portable restrooms, hand wash stations, holding tanks, restroom trailers, fencing, barricades, and related rental equipment at customer locations. Provide professional customer service during all deliveries and pickups to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded. Perform all job duties in a safe manner while following Cinelease safety policies, procedures, and DOT requirements. Complete deliveries and pickups accurately and efficiently according to scheduled routes and customer timelines. Maintain flexibility to accommodate route changes, customer requests, emergency deliveries, and operational needs. Communicate route conditions, customer feedback, and operational concerns to the Operations Manager, Supervisor, or Dispatcher to improve efficiency and service levels. Assist customers in planning equipment placement, delivery schedules, and pickup requirements to ensure current and future rental needs are met. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly. Complete all required delivery paperwork, electronic logs, inspections, and customer documentation accurately. Assist with yard operations, equipment inspections, loading, unloading, and general facility duties as needed. When assigned, perform portable restroom servicing in accordance with Cinelease service standards and operating procedures. Qualifications Minimum of two (2) years of commercial driving or equipment delivery experience preferred. Valid California Driver's License required; Class A or Class B CDL preferred. Clean driving record and ability to meet company insurance requirements. Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent time management and organizational abilities. Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented approach. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Experience in portable sanitation, event rentals, construction equipment, or related industries is preferred. Physical Requirements Sit for extended periods while driving and stand for extended periods while performing deliveries, pickups, and equipment setup. Use hands and fingers to handle, operate, and control equipment, tools, and vehicle controls. Perform repetitive motions throughout the workday. Ability to see details of objects at close range and at a distance. Communicate clearly with customers, coworkers, and supervisors. Ability to hear and distinguish sounds in various work environments. Walk for up to 30 minutes at a time without significant exertion. Frequently enter and exit vehicles and equipment by stepping, climbing, kneeling, and bending. Lift up to 50 pounds regularly and heavier loads with assistance or mechanical equipment. Lift materials from waist level to shoulder height and from floor level to overhead positions. Frequently crouch, squat, kneel, bend, push, and pull equipment during deliveries and pickups. Push and pull equipment weighing up to 100 pounds with appropriate assistance and equipment. Working Conditions This position regularly works outdoors at construction sites, event venues, film production locations, commercial properties, and customer job sites. Employees may be exposed to varying weather conditions, traffic, dust, noise, uneven terrain, and other environmental conditions common to field operations.
