Delivery Driver

Walter Andersen Nursery, located in the Midway/Sports Arena Area of San Diego, is a locally owned retail garden center. We have been in business for 98 years and are a leader in the garden center industry. We sell plants and garden supplies and pride ourselves on quality plants and materials combined with the highest level of customer service. We are seeking a full-time delivery driver, Monday

• Friday, 9:00am
• 5:30pm. The position includes (but is not limited to the following) duties.
• Mapping out daily deliveries
• Loading materials in trucks
• Delivering plants and other garden supplies
• Creating a positive customer experience
• Engaging with customers in person and on the phone
• Doing transfers between our two locations
• Assisting with stocking, watering and general nursery duties when not doing deliveries
• Keep trucks clean and alert management when there is a mechanical issue What we expect:
• Prior delivery driver experience
• Able to drive a large 16-foot truck w/ box
• A good attitude
• Friendly and outgoing personality
• Clean/tidy appearance
• Someone who enjoys working with a wide variety of people
• An organized individual that is a self-starter
• Someone who is punctual and responsible
• Be able to lift 75 pounds Job offer is dependent on DMV record and insurance company approval. We are an E-Verify employer.
