Job Description

Van Delivery Driver / Dog Transport Handler We are looking for a reliable van delivery driver to safely transport dogs between homes within Washington, DC. This role involves picking up and dropping off dogs at scheduled locations, handling dogs with care, and making sure each dog is secure and comfortable during transport.
Responsibilities include:
Driving a company van safely throughout DC Picking up dogs from homes and dropping them off at assigned locations Loading and unloading dogs safely Keeping dogs calm and secure during transport Communicating clearly with owners and staff about pickup and drop-off times Following the daily route and schedule Keeping the van clean and organized Reporting any issues with dogs, delays, or vehicle problems Ideal candidate: Has a valid driver's license and clean driving record Is comfortable handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments Is reliable, patient, and responsible Knows or can navigate DC streets efficiently Can follow safety procedures and communicate professionally Prior experience with dogs, delivery driving, or pet care is preferred They must safely handle and care for dogs during pickup, transport, and drop-off. This includes gently loading and unloading dogs, keeping them calm and secure in the van, monitoring their behavior, and making sure they are comfortable throughout the ride. They should be patient, responsible, and comfortable working with dogs of different sizes and temperaments.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
