Job Description
About the Role Ocean Cleaners is looking for a reliable, punctual Part-Time Driver to transport dry cleaning and garments between our Bowie, MD and Washington, DC locations. This is a straightforward, route-based position — you'll be the link that keeps both locations running smoothly. A company vehicle is provided. Responsibilities Complete daily garment transport runs between our Bowie and DC locations (approx. 4 hours/day, Monday-Friday + 2 hours on Saturday) Handle all garments with care — ensuring items are properly bagged, tagged, and secured during transport Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable company vehicle at all times — inside and out Report any vehicle issues, damage, or incidents to management promptly Follow designated routes efficiently and adapt to traffic conditions as needed Communicate with location managers regarding pickups, drop-offs, and any delays Assist with loading and unloading garment racks and bags as needed Adhere to all applicable traffic laws, company vehicle policies, and safety guidelines Requirements Must be 25 or older Valid driver's license — must be current and in good standing Clean driving record required (no DUIs, reckless driving, or major violations in the past 3 years) Must be able to pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) check Punctual, dependable, and self-directed — this role operates with minimal supervision Ability to lift and carry garment bags and small racks (up to 30 lbs) Comfortable driving in DC traffic and navigating between Maryland and DC regularly Smartphone provided
