Job Description
Position Summary:
Deliver exceptional service for our customers in-store and in-home at all times. Deliver product to and from customers residence; load and unload delivery trucks; assist in fleet maintenance; help and maintain appearance of showroom and organization of back room; responsible for handling and assembling of merchandise; assist with product service; assist with door to door marketing to grow customer base; may perfrm additional functions or duties as assigned by the general manager.Principle responsibilities:
- Exhibit highest level of professionalism in store, on the road, and in customer homes.
- Ability to demonstrate product features and explain the benefit of those features.
- Basic furniture, appliance, home electronics installation/removal.
- Comply with company vehicle safety standards and policies; demonstrate safe and smart driving skills.
- In-store and in-home service calls.
- Protection of company assets which includes but not limited to inventory, equipment and vehicles.
- All other duties deemed necessary by store management.
Delivery Specialist:
- Possess Valid drivers license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Maintain professional appearance
- Must be able to drive during the day, night and meet all safety requirements
- Must be able to explain the terms of the rental/lease agreement to customer
- Must be able to fill out receipt books
- Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in person and over the telephone
- Must be knowledgeable in product features and benefits
- Must have a satisfactory driving record and meet insurability requirements
- Must pass pre-employment background check
General Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, load and move furniture (unassisted under 50lbs; assisted/with dolly up to 300lbs)
- Stooping, bending, pulling, climbing, reaching and grabbing as required
- Navigate multiple flights of stairs while carrying furniture, appliance and electronics
- Prolonged driving and standing
- Must be able to work in and outdoors in a variety of climates and weather conditions
