Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Box Truck Co- Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across designated routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to assit with making deliveries, installing appliances and furniture as well as occasionally operate various types of box trucks with liftgates, pallet jacks, Straps and Load Bars. As a key player in our logistics network, you will ensure timely load and unload operations, maintain accurate delivery documentation, and uphold safety standards on every trip. Your expertise in commercial driving will help keep our operations running smoothly while providing exceptional service to our clients. Duties Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to transport freight across multiple routes Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations Follow designated routes diligently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery receipts Communicate proactively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered during trips Qualifications Valid driver's license (DL) with a clean 3 year driving record Experience operating box trucks preferred but not required; training available for qualified candidates Proven truck driving experience, especially with freight delivery in various truck types such as tractor-trailers or box trucks Familiarity with warehouse shipping and recieving, pallet jacks, lift gates Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or manual methods when necessary Strong knowledge of route driving best practices and safety procedures Excellent communication skills and reliability in following schedules and instructions Embark on a rewarding career where your driving skills make a difference!
