Coyote MFG Co. Position Overview We are seeking a dependable and self-driven Driver / Logistics Operator to manage and execute deliveries across our customer network. This role goes beyond transportation—this individual will be responsible for planning routes, coordinating logistics, and maximizing efficiency in every trip. The ideal candidate is not just a driver, but someone who understands how to move equipment, reduce cost, and represent the company professionally on the road. Key Responsibilities Transportation & Delivery Execution Safely transport trailers and materials to customers and dealers across multiple states Complete routine and long-distance deliveries, including trips up to 20+ hours as required Maintain flexibility to support occasional weekend deliveries based on business needs Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and in proper condition Logistics Planning & Route Optimization Plan and schedule delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime Coordinate multiple deliveries into single trips when possible to reduce fuel and labor costs Evaluate routes based on distance, time, fuel consumption, and vehicle wear Communicate proactively with internal teams regarding delivery schedules and changes Vehicle Awareness & Basic Mechanical Capability Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all vehicles and trailers Maintain a strong understanding of diesel truck fundamentals to identify and address minor issues on the road Respond appropriately to breakdowns or mechanical concerns to minimize delays Keep vehicles clean, organized, and in good working condition Accountability & Documentation Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and required compliance documentation Ensure all paperwork, bills of lading, and delivery confirmations are properly completed Communicate any delivery issues, damages, or delays immediately Customer & Company Representation Serve as a professional representative of Coyote MFG Co. at all delivery locations Maintain a high level of professionalism with customers, dealers, and partners Ensure proper handling and presentation of delivered products Required Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred) Proven experience operating trucks and towing trailers safely Ability to complete long-haul trips (including overnight and extended hours when required) Strong understanding of route planning and time management Basic knowledge of diesel trucks and ability to troubleshoot minor issues High level of accountability, reliability, and independence Preferred Qualifications CDL (Class A preferred) Experience transporting trailers or similar equipment Familiarity with DOT regulations and compliance requirements Experience coordinating logistics or dispatching routes What Success Looks Like in This Role Deliveries are completed on time, every time Routes are planned efficiently, reducing unnecessary trips and fuel costs Equipment arrives in excellent condition with no preventable damage The driver operates independently with minimal oversight Logistics become a competitive advantage , not a bottleneck Why This Role Matters This position directly impacts our ability to serve customers, control transportation costs, and maintain our reputation in the field.
