Warehouse Associate | Delivery Driver | Customer Service Hardwoods Specialty Products - 3.5 Kapolei, HI Job Details Full-time $23 - $24 an hour 3 days ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Forklift Certification Measuring tapes Email customer support Phone communication Packing In-person customer service English Forklift High school diploma or GED Warehouse experience Phone call management Order picking Material handling equipment operation Full Job Description The Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate performs a variety of functions including daily deliveries using small Class C type truck, receiving and processing incoming materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, and ensuring general cleanliness and safety in the warehouse. This position will also require good customer service as the role will be interacting with customers while making deliveries or while around the warehouse. This may include answering phones and helping customers with basic product related questions. •Monday through Friday from 6:30am-3:30pm•About Hardwoods Hardwoods Specialty Products is the recognized premier distributor of decorative surfaces, high-grade hardwood lumber, sheet goods, and architectural-grade building products serving the residential and commercial construction markets. Our North American Head Office is located in Langley BC, Canada. Responsibilities Must work in a safe manner according to all safety and other company policies Unloading and loading flatbed trailers, dry vans and containers Verifying counts and identifying products to be stocked Tagging and stocking materials in warehouse Tallying lumber Identifying and tagging products Cleaning the warehouse Pulling orders Packaging and staging pulled orders Organize product in the warehouse Driving forklift, this includes dismounting and re-entering forklift multiple times throughout the day Requires both bulk handling as well as "piece pulls" - will require direct handling of lumber items Qualifications 2+ years experience as a warehouse worker Must have clean driving record High school diploma Forklift experience is required - lumber handling a plus Customer service skills required for in person, phone, and email interactions. Self-starter; able to work without constant direct supervision High attention to detail Good organizational and time management skills Basic computer skills for receiving products Good math skills and ability to use a tape measure English verbal and written communication skills are required Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods Sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast paced environment Positive, proactive and energetic attitude-demonstrated team player characteristics as verified by references Reliable and trustworthy Preferred Qualifications Experience working in the lumber or building materials industry Forklift certification a plus Driving/Delivery experience a plus Reporting Relationships This role reports to the General Manager.
