Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Route Delivery Driver, where you'll be the vital link bringing essential goods directly to our customers' doorsteps. This energetic role involves safely operating various types of trucks to deliver freight efficiently and reliably across designated routes. Monday-Friday with overtime Duties Safely operate different types of trucks including Mercedes Sprinters and 28ft box truck. Load and unload freight with precision, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transit. Drive along assigned routes while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations to guarantee timely deliveries. Inspect vehicles regularly for maintenance needs or safety issues before and after trips. Communicate effectively with sales team to confirm delivery schedules and address any issues promptly. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, delivery receipts, and incident reports. Collect on unpaid orders and shipments Log customer returns Assist with warehouse tasks such as picking orders and loading routes. Requirements Valid non CDL class C driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving preferred. Proven delivery driver experience with knowledge of route driving best practices. Familiarity with load & unload procedures and freight handling techniques. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to truck driving and freight transportation. Deadline oriented and attention to detail Ability to maneuver around a sprinter truck and lift a minimum of 60lbs Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy loads and working in different weather conditions.
