Box Truck Driver / Local Pickup Driver (Non-CDL, Part-Time, Home Daily)

Job Overview:

We are hiring a Box Truck Driver / Local Pickup Driver to operate a company-leased 16-foot box truck on local, home-daily routes. This is a non-CDL, part-time driving position ideal for candidates with experience in delivery driving, route driving, or logistics who value consistent local work.

Responsibilities:

Operate a company-leased 16ft box truck on scheduled local delivery and pickup routes Perform pickup and delivery of materials from library partners Load and unload materials safely and efficiently Complete per-shift vehicle safety inspections Communicate professionally with customers and on-site staff Maintain basic delivery and route records Occasionally assist with warehouse or logistics support tasks

Schedule:

4-5 days per week 4-6 hours per shift Variable weekday schedule

Qualifications:

Valid Illinois Driver's License (Non-CDL - Class D Required) Box Truck, Delivery Driver, or Local Route Driving experience preferred Must be at least 21 years of age Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Must maintain a driving record acceptable to company's insurance requirements Must be eligible for coverage under the company's commercial auto insurance policy Clean driving record and ability to pass background check, drug screening, and MVR check
