Job Description

At St. Coletta's, our mission is to serve children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities so they can achieve their greatest potential. The Community Day Services provides a variety of programs to enhance each individual's adaptive living skills, economic self-sufficiency, overall level of independence and integration into the community. We are seeking a Part-Time Van Driver (20 hours per week) to transport persons enrolled at the Job Training Center in a safe and responsible manner, abiding by the Rules of the Road and Agency Policies and Procedures.
Schedule:
1st/2nd (part-time) Monday-Friday 6:30 AM - 8:30 AM and 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM (20 hours per week) Pay rate: $22.09
Hourly Responsibilities:
Transports clients in a Van to the Community Day Service Program. Monitors and records operating conditions of the vehicles daily and reports mechanical problems to the Supervisor immediately. While transporting clients the Van Driver has to comply to the routes on schedule, making sure all clients are safe along with other transportation procedures, tracks and records client transportation and other information required. Performs general maintenance on the vehicle and fills the vehicle gas tank daily or as required and maintains a ticket free driving record that is insurable by the Training Center. Assists the Job Training Center Staff in client supervision as needed, trains and supervises client passengers in the utilization of correct safety procedures during transit. Completes all documentation as required by agency policy and licensing regulations ensuring all established deadlines are met. Maintains professional conduct and appearance consistent with the expectations of the position when dealing with any Agency or external personnel.
Qualifications:
Must possess valid Illinois driver's license High School Diploma or equivalent required Must pass a criminal background check. Must pass a physical/drug screening test and MVR background.
